What really got you into manga?

Manga is a genre of comics that has captivated many people all across this world. So what was it about manga that hooked you?

hmmmmm I guess it all started with fox kids( BEST CHANNEL EVER RIP)
I easily got into the action genre with power rangers, digimon,pokemon,transformers etc..
then came dragonball in 5th grade and finally I saw this shonenjump magazine at walmart..
yeah that got me in.. i also bought a shaman king manga in 6th grade , that helped alot

It's quite the same as guillx, foxkids, it was so awesome, now it's just lame. Some anime started playing on ytv so i watched a couple of those, but now they cutted off a lot of them and some people around me began to talk about it so it caught my attention.

I would say that what really bring me is my friend, that was already reading some and suggested me to try manga. Before that, I didn't even know what a manga was, haha. The first I read was Alice 19th... story is not bad and drawing are good. But the first manga that got me in was Kenshin (Kenshin rocks!!).

It had to be from mostly reading the shonen jump magazines that my friend used to bring over back when I was in 4th grade. DBZ had a tremendous influence on me. Guillx.. Fox kids has nothing to do with manga. Although shonen jump certainly does.

I think I was hooked when a friend of mine brought a "King of Hell" manga to class in 9th grade.....but if we're talking about anime, it was when d-ball came out.......

Was it Christian that showed you King Of Hell? That book was pretty good. I really want to read the second volume.

lol....it was Christian.....and it wasn't "pretty good", it was hilarious......

I think the main characters name was Majeh. He bickers with his boss and argues with Cerberus. That book was hilarious now that I think about it.

The first manga that I bought is Shaman King but I already know Dragon Ball. But what I like more of manga it's the diversity
