Movies that you hate!

movies too long movies too bland, tell me the movies you just..can't..stand..

TWILIGHT

I tried reading the book and less then midway I was thinking " This seems like a girls book!?" The main character kept talking about how handsome the freaking vampire classmate was and I'm like shut up and show me some action!

I basically can't stand Disney Movies. Especially Pocahontas.

Well, I read the fourth books of Twilight.............. I wouldn't say they're bad, just boring, 'cause it's too predictable. But when you forget about these little details, the story's concept is interesting. But yeah, it's generally always the same thing.. which is sad 'cause it could've been really good... Also watched the movie... and I'd say that it is crap compared to the book, and if the book is boring.... just imagine how the movie was, haha.

Well as reven said it's kind of a girl thing. If you look at whose all psyched up about the books and the movies, well it's girls...

I have a couple of movie that i hate but i can't seem to remember. well there's cloverfield. That movie was a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME! You just see what's happening through the camera lence that the freaking guy is carrying, many people die and there's no FREAKING STORY! It's just a stupid monster attacking a stupid city while everybody is so damn stupid and they all die.

Aye. Haven't watch it but heared a lot of comments about it and sounds boring...
Another movie that is totally NONSENSE and UNINTERESTING is Pan's Labyrinth. There's a story, but nothing's interesting with a stupid little girl that disobey and passes near death 'cause she's freaking curious and stupid!!

Yeah pan's labyrinth is pretty much lame. Oh and guillx, cloverfield is a DISGRACE to monster movies.

how many monster films have you seen?
I like it because it's different than other monster films, as this one gives you a victim's perspective
most of the monster movies focus on the monster himself and basically nobody dies but cloverfield make it much more realistic. And I think thats good

Guillx may have a point there. I can't really comment on the matter since I've never seen the movie before.

Yeah, that's right. I'm in the same situation as Reven so I can't really comment on the movie since I haven't watch it but what you Guillx said is right.
My opinion is that all those monsters movies have a similar scenario: bunch of scared people attacked and killed by monsters. It's great that we can live the story through a character, instead of just watching people dying. There's still suspense, but not the same kind. With classic movies it's more the suspense of knowing what will happen to the guy and not being able to do anything to change his fate. In this movie (well as what I understood) you're living the suspense as if you were part of the movie 'cause you're always in the middle of action or can't do something esle than reacting as a victim 'cause all you see is only what a REAL victim is seeing.
Sounds like a strange experience since we've the habit to be bored after 5 mins 'cause we know what will happen: everybody die. BUT even if the concept is new and seems interesting, the story can be boring and make the movie uninteresting.

I just remembered Napolean Dynamite. That movie was seriously overrated and not funny in the least. It was just.. dumb.

I understand what you mean guillx, but did they had to make us watch the whole movie from the view of the guy's camera? I mean we could of seen more and still be the victim. And they could of made a better story, there wasn't anything they just all die and we don't anything. I know that's part of the "victim" style, but without a story it's pretty much lame from the beginning.

see that's just why it was good, in real life, we would not know where the monster is coming from

Well it's just that I like different things. I even think that if it had a better story it wouldnt be as good as it is

Napoleon dynamite XD I guess you just need to be in the mood for it cuz first time I thought it really sucked but the second time I just couldnt stop laughingXD

I saw a movie the other day and i was really desappointed. It's James bond: quantum of solace. It's really bad. Casino royale wasn't really good but it was better than this. What can i say? the story, what story, it was really boring and i didn't quite follow, there wasn't really any. The action was cool, but then again, these days they try to get to many shots in the fight scene and at the end we don't really see all that is happening it the fights. I hope that the next ones will be better.

Reven, Twilight was indeed always aimed at girls. It was more or less Stephenie Meyer putting her own romantic dreams to print. Nevertheless, it's had a big impact; selling gangbusters and creating a revolution in writing (something like half a dozen new teen vampire series have been huge hits in books since then) and film. I thought it was boring, but she must be doing something right. *Shrug*

I have to disagree about Pan's Labyrinth being bad. It was a brilliant movie about fantasy and fascism combined. But I guess nobody likes everything, right? Personally I'm a fan of almost everything I've seen of Guillermo del Toro. I love Hellboy.

Bad movies...well, recently, the movie "Taken" was just terrible. I love action movies, but they have to have more of a point than that one did.

Oh, and Dragonball: Evolution. Any movie that can make Emmy Rossum and James Marsters into bad actors has to be worthless!

I agree with you Michiru on the fact that something had to have been done right. It's a story aimed towards females. I don't have a problem with that though although initially I was like "WHAT!!!?"

There's a big discussion about it going on on the Absolute Write boards--actually, several discussions. It's very divided between people who think Stephenie Meyer should be barred from writing ever again vs. people who think she's a genius vs. people like me, who don't quite get her popularity, but don't mind it and thought Twilight was okay. Gets quite heated.

BTW, have you guys been to the Absolute Write forum? Anyone who's serious about writing (comic writing included) MUST go, and I mean that literally. It's the best possible resource for writers on the internet for everything.

the day the earth stood still(2009) is a big disapointment compared to the the original one: the story is way too different, the kid is annoying, bad special effects, I think the only good point is keanu reeves

Had a chance to checkout G.I Joe and it sucked hard.

LOL Well the story sucks, that's a fact, and it's mostly the same with a lot of recent action movies but I liked it, heh. Prolly 'cause I watched it with friends at cinema and that I was really tired haha.... you know things look a lot funnier when you're really tired, and I'm not only talking physically
